Richard has over 30 years’ experience in the UK Public Sector with over 25 of those spent working for organisations that provide technology solutions that enable Government departments and organisations to deliver outcomes that transform lives for citizens, patients, carers and students. At Dell Technologies Richard is responsible for the UK Public Sector sales teams. Segmented into Healthcare, Education and Government the sales teams have deep segment knowledge and are supported by a large virtual team that includes many ex CIO’s and senior managers from the Public Sector.

Having started his working life in the NHS Richard followed this with four years in the pharmaceutical sector before entering the technology industry in 1990 with ICL Computers and subsequently worked with some of the largest providers of application software to the NHS and Local Government at Siemens, McKesson and SMS/Torex before initially joining Dell Technologies in 2003.

Richard is also heavily involved in Dell Technologies’ Corporate Social Responsibility programmes and 2020 Legacy of Good as well as being a MARC ambassador. Richard has a degree in Physiology and Biochemistry from Nottingham University. A committed swimmer in his teens Richard played football and cricket at University and has, somewhat late in life, recently started to compete in Triathlons and Ironman events. Richard is based in the NW of England and is married with two adult children.
